Andrew Miller (physician)

Andrew C. Miller is a physician, scientist, and author noted for his work in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. He attended his undergraduate studies at Saint Louis University, and medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He then completed residencies in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn where he served as chief resident, and fellowships in Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and Critical Care Medicine at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center. He is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Critical Illness and Injury Science,[1] and past editor of PLoS One and Virtual Mentor (now the AMA Journal of Ethics). He serves on the Board of Governors of the American College of Academic International Medicine.[2]

Miller has been recognized with numerous institutional, regional, and national awards by organizations including the American Medical Association, American College of Academic International Medicine, Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, Emergency Medicine Residents Association, Southern Illinois University School of Medicine Alumni Society Board of Governors, and the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn.
