Andrew Grace Naimanye is a Ugandan Civil Engineer and transport planner. He is serving as Acting Executive Director of Uganda Road Fund since November 2019.[1][2][3] In addition to his new responsibilities, Naimanye is serving as the vice chairman National Road Safety Council, under Ministry of Works and Transport (Uganda).

Naimanye undertook his Ordinary and Advanced Level education at King's College Budo. He graduated from King's College Budo on top of his PCM class. At King's College Budo he also served on the Prefects' Council. In 1995, he graduated from University Of Leeds with Bachelor Of Engineering, (Civil Engineering with Architecture); and was a Queen's Jubilee Scholar of Institution of Civil Engineers. The following year he obtained the Msc (Eng), Transport Planning and Engineering from University Of Leeds. In 2016, Naimanye obtained a PhD, Transport Economics from University Of Leeds.
Career[edit]
Naimanye is a chartered Civil Engineer[4] with professional experience spanning a range of civil, structural, water, airport and Transportation planning projects in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa. Naimanye worked in the UK for various FTSE listed civil engineering firms rising up to Associate Director at Waterman Group. He later relocated back to Uganda to join the pioneer management team of the Uganda Road Fund.
In Uganda Road Fund, as the pioneer head of programs,[5] Naimanye has overseen the financing of the road maintenance of the work plans for 10 years. He is serving as the vice chairman of the National Road Safety Council, a director at Exceed Institute of Safety Management and Technology, a member of the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda and an external Examiner at Makerere University College of Engineering. In his career, Naimanye has carried out several research projects and shared reports on road safety.[6].

Naimanye is married to Margaret Rwomwijhu and they have 3 children.
