Andriy Dakhovskyy (Ukrainian - Андрій Даховський) - Ukrainian producer, founder of one of the biggest Ukrainian labels Ukrainian Records/Universal Licensee and one of the leading defenders of copy rights in Ukraine[3].

Early Years[edit]

Andriy Dakhovskyy was born on the 23rd of May 1962 in Leningrad, USSR[1].

He graduated from high school in 1979 in Chernivtsi[1].

Dakhovskyy graduated Odessa National University in 1984 and became docent and lecturer there[1].

Career[edit]

In late 1990's Dakhovskyy founded chain of music stores and sign his first License with Universal Music in 1999[1].

In 2000, he founded huge ukrainian recording label Ukrainian Records[4].

He helped and produced a number of regional artists such as Katya Chilly, Alena Vinnitskaya, Stereolizza, Django, GreenJolly[5], Esthetic Education and other artists.

Since 2000, he had strong connection with International Federation of the Phonographic Industry for Ukraine[6].

In 2007, he together with European partners Lex Harding, Erik de Zwart and Wessel Van Diepen founded the Ukrainian branch of SMASH! TV channel[7].

In 2008[8], Dakhovskyy family founded famous Kyiv club Sorry, Babushka[9].

In 2017, he started in United States musical startup Younk with cooperation of famous music industry executive Don Grierson[10][11].

Dakhovskyy defends copy rights in Ukraine since beginning of 2000's[12]
