Angel Mae Taylor, born 1988, is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter based in the Los Angeles area. She has released an LP and two EPs.
Biography[edit]
Taylor was born on March 20, 1988, in Los Angeles, California, the youngest of five daughters of LaTonya Taylor. She grew up in Sylmar and Santa Clarita, California. An older sister, Ebony, appeared on the fifth season of America's Next Top Model.
Musical career[edit]
Taylor taught herself to play piano and guitar and started writing songs at the age of 13, inspired by her sister Ebony's poetry.[1]
Her recording career began with producer Mikal Blue, who had worked with Colbie Caillat and Jason Reeves. After hearing her songs, Blue decided to work with Taylor.[2]
Taylor signed with Aware/Columbia Records and released her debut album, Love Travels, on iTunes in 2009.[3] She has toured with artists like Adele, Kate Voegele, and Brett Dennen.
In 2012, she was a contestant on the second season of The Voice, coached by Adam Levine. Her song "Make Me Believe" was featured on 90210. She released an EP, Motion, that year.
Taylor has collaborated with DJs like Mako, Arty, and Armin van Buuren. In 2019, she was featured on Morgan Page's single "Reason for Living".
