Angie Vu Ha (born June 1, 1987[1][2][3]), best known as "Asia's Sexiest DJ"[4] is a Vietnamese born model,[5][6][7] DJ,[8] and producer,[9] living in New York City. Angie won an award for "Number 1 Female DJ" by the prestigious Top 10 Asia and was named "World's Sexiest DJ" by The Sun Las Vegas and multiple times as one of the sexiest DJs in the world. America got to know Angie Vu Ha on the Season 10 of America's Got Talent with Nick Cannon and her Playboy pictorials. Angie started modeling in the fashion industry when she was 17.[10] Shortly thereafter, a film director discovered Angie, and gave her a leading role in the TV series.

Early life and education[edit]

A mixed of French and Viet ancestry, Angie Vu Ha, born Vũ Thị Hà, is the youngest of three sisters. Angie grew up in Quang Ninh, a coal mining town in Northern Vietnam. Her family moved to Hanoi, to allow Angie and her sisters to attend college.

Angie studied at the National Economics University, where she achieved a bachelor's degree in business administration and Hospitality Management.

DJ[edit]

Angie involves herself in acting,[11]DJ-ing, hosting, modeling,[10][12] dancing,[13] TV shows,[14][15] movies,[16] music performances, and theater.

In 2007, Angie got her big break in the international modeling circuit, signing with Diva Models, which led to her relocating to Singapore. She has been photographed for a number of high end clothing,[17] international advertising campaigns.

In 2010, Angie signed an exclusive contract with an American Entertainment company, Bigfoot Entertainment. She was a regular cast member in the reality show Underwater Action Season 2,[14][15][18] which was about underwater photography by filmmaker and photographer Michael Gleissner that aired on worldwide satellite channel Fashion One. After her TV appearances,[15] and many years of modeling,[19][20][21][22] Angie turned her attention to another passion, music.[9] From May through September 2011, Angie became a resident DJ at New Asia Bar in Swissôtel The Stamford, Singapore, playing every Friday and Saturday. This club is one of the most luxurious clubs in Singapore and has been awarded World's Finest Club.[23] Angie has rapidly risen through the ranks of the DJ scene, and regularly gets her fans dancing at Singapore and international's elite clubs and events.[24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31] Angie has also played at other events including the annual Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1,[32][33][34] and major events for Fashion TV (FTV).[35] repeatedly over several years. Angie DJ'd for Jay Sean's Asia Tour and played alongside Seb Fontaine, Steve Aoki, EDC Twins, Paris Hilton, ... She travelled intensively to DJ internationally.

Producing[edit]

In 2010 Angie started producing her own music.[9] Her first release Cookies,[36] gained instant support from BBC Radio 1's Judge Jules,[37] Marco V,[38] Lisa Lashes,[39] and Michael Woods (producer) . Cookies is one of the fastest selling tracks on the world's number one legal mp3 download site Beatport.[36][40][41] Her second release Cream,[42] features UK vocalist Taya, and already has massive support from Gareth Emery[43] and Marco V.[44] You can hear Cream play on Ministry of Sound radio from Adam K.[45][46]

Soon Angie relocated to New York City. She released 3 more singles: "So Damn Hot", "Cyber Sex" and "Brixton Electric" all under Icon Global Records United States.[47][48]

Besides officially being recognized by worldwide media as "Asia's sexiest DJ", and Asia's first supermodel DJ,[24] Clubbing9ine Asia ranked Angie #4 in the Top Sexiest Supermodel DJs Worldwide.,[24][49] Top 10 Asia Malaysia ranked her number 1 female DJ and she has been dubbed World's sexiest DJ.

Angie is also an entrepreneur. She owns her own modeling agency called Think Model Management.[50]

In 2015, Angie appeared on America's got Talent season 10 on an infamous kissing scene with Nick Cannon-Mariah Carey's ex-husband and host of the show.[51]

In 2016, Angie launched her own lingerie line Angie Vu Ha Lingerie.[52]

Playboy Playmate[edit]

In October 2012, Angie won Playboy's Miss Social[53][54] contest with over 12 millions votes. Playboy flew her in the Playboy Mansion for photo shoots. In September 2015, Angie became Playboy Playmate Miss September Playboy Venezuela Special DJ issue.[55][56]

Personal life[edit]

On March 9, 2018 Angie appeared pregnant during the preview of the new season of the festival Pirates and Princesses of Disneyland Paris at Garnier Palace with her new beau,[57] French actor Samuel Le Bihan.[58][59] On March 13, 2018, Angie confirmed the rumor by announcing her pregnancy on her social media.[60][58][61] She gave birth to a daughter, Emma-Rose[62][63] on August 13, 2018. The first picture of Emma-Rose and her last name was revealed on August 24, 2018 as Vu Le Bihan.[64][65][66]
