Angkatan Pemuda Insaf (Jawi: اڠكتن ڤمودا انصاف, English: Awakened Youth Organization or API) have been established in 1946 at Brewster Road (Jalan Sultan Idris Shah), Ipoh, Perak Darul Ridzuan. The organisation first chairman is Abdullah Sani bin Tengku Kecil or more known as Ahmad Boestamam. API was an influential political organization among the Malays, especially during the early rise of resistance against the British.[4] API was also the strongest component members of Parti Kebangsaan Melayu Malaya (PKMM) which exist between 1945 till nation's independence.
