Anglesea is the debut four-track EP[2] by Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. It was self-released on CD on 8 March 2011[3], and limited to 150 copies. The band hosted a launch party at the Grace Darling Hotel in Collingwood to commemorate the release on 4 March 2011[4]. The title is derived from the Australian coastal town of the same name where many of the members grew up[5].
The release features a vibrant, surf rock-influenced sound highlighted by the use of primitive, lo-fi production techniques. This sound would be further expanded on the band's first official release later in the year. Anglesea has never been re-released on any format[6]
