Anglian Learning

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Anglian Learning is a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) that operates 16 schools in East Anglia, United Kingdom.[1][2] The trust was established in 2016 by merging three existing academy trusts, and has since expanded by incorporating other schools.

History

Anglian Learning was formed in September 2016 of four secondary schools. The founding schools were Bassingbourn Village College, Bottisham Village College, Sawston Village College and The Netherhall School.[3][4] The trust was initially called the Bottisham Multi Academy Trust, but changed its name to Anglian Learning in 2018 to reflect its wider geographical reach.[5]

Since its formation, the trust has grown to include 12 more schools, both primary and secondary, across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex. The trust has also developed several collaborative networks to support its schools in areas such as curriculum, professional development, finance, governance and operations.[6] The trust is led by an executive team headed by the chief executive officer, Jonathan Culpin, and overseen by a board of trustees chaired by Dr Helen Pain.[7][8]

In 2022 the trust won an award for outstanding governance.[9]

Schools

Anglian Learning operates 16 schools as of January 2024. They are:
