Anirudh Narayan
Anirudh Narayan (born February 26th,1987) is an Indian entrepreneur, author, speaker and growth-marketing specialist. He is the founder and CEO of Masterlife, an education technology platform and Growth Spartan, a platform helping entrepreneurs scale and grow. He is the author of the book Scale Smart and mentors startups through growth hacking workshops.[1].
Early Life
Anirudh was born in New Delhi, and grew up in Bangalore, India. His father served with the Indian Air Force and his mother was a teacher. His family was originally from Chennai. He completed college at National Public School, Bangalore where he was the captain of the boys basketball team. He played basketball for his state Karnataka in the under-13 and under-18 tournaments thrice and also participated in the national level training camp.
Anirudh completed his Bachelor’s of Engineering in Biotechnology from Ramaiah Institute Of Technology in 2008. He attended Columbia University in the City of New York for his master’s degree in management science and engineering during 2011-12[2].
Career
Anirudh has worked with organizations like Shutterstock, Javelin, Lean Startup Machine, Rocket Internet and Krossover in Growth Marketing roles. He is a contributing author for Forbes India[3], where he has written articles about entrepreneurship and startups. He has also helped various other firms and entrepreneurs in consulting roles.
Consulting
He has helped over 5,000 aspiring entrepreneurs and 100 startups in US, Latin America, Africa and Asia with launching their idea, reaching product-market fit and scale. His core specialties lie in user acquisition, funnel optimization, growth hacking and business development. He has mentoring at accelerators like Numa, Techstars and Rolls Royce.
Teaching
He has taught digital marketing, entrepreneurship and growth hacking with SimpliLearn and UpGrad.
Workshops
Anirudh has conducted many workshops related to marketing, scaling business and achieving product-market fit in countries like Ecuador, Argentina, Colombia, India. He has also delivered customized training, both in-person and virtually to companies like ACT Internet, SimpliLearn, as well as Indian Institute of Management - Bangalore[4].
He participated in Nasscom’s 10K across 8 different cities namely Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. He was also involved in the Facebook initiated She Leads Tech programme.
Growth Spartan
This platform started by Anirudh helps entrepreneurs launch and scale their business through bootcamps, courses, consulting services and products. It has worked with startups in the US, Latin America, Africa and Asia with launching their idea, reaching product-market fit and scale. Growth Spartan specializes in user acquisition, funnel optimization, growth hacking and business development.
Masterlife
It is a holistic platform founded by Anirudh that helps people upskill in different areas of their life through self paced, cohort based learning as well as one-on-one consultations. Masterlife’s website and mobile application help its users focus on creating habits that enable them to become their best self. From personal financial investing to physical health to sustainability, Masterlife has prominent subject matter experts and tutors from India and abroad. The platform aims to create quality content that can help people change their mindset and inculcate the right set of skills through its Vital 8 framework[5].

Book
Anirudh is the author of the book - Scale Smart: How to Get Your First 1,000 Customers In India, published by Notion Press. Published on December 12, 2018, it talks about how startups in India can build and scale their entrepreneurial journey in the digital age. The book also features anecdotes from industry experts and case studies of successful companies in the Indian startup ecosystem.
The book sold more than 3500 copies in its first year and ranked number 43 in the Business, Self-Help section on the Amazon India website in January 2019.[6]
