Anna Blue (born March 18, 1997) is a German Singer-Songwriter.[1] She was gaining widespread attention with her debut single, "So Alone" in 2010.

Early life[edit]

Blue was born in Germany and was surrounded by music early. At the age of 7, she began playing the guitar[2] and by the age of 11, she was writing her own music,[3] At the age of 12, her then friend and later boyfriend, Damien Dawn, moved in next door to her.[4]

Career[edit]

2010-2015: So Alone, Night, and Silent Scream[edit]

In 2010, Blue has written, recorded, and then released her song and music video for her 1st single, "So Alone", which soon ended up on the Jamster service as a downloadable ringtone under the "Emo" label and was advertised on television.[5] It was released under the Jamstar recording label.[6] [7]

After the release and popularity of "So Alone", Blue's grades started to drop after her 1st single released and she had to focus on schooling as a 'Plan B'.[8]

In 2015, after 5 years of radio silence, Blue has released her 2nd single, "Night", on February 1.[9]

On August 7, Blue has released her 3rd single, "Silent Scream", which is describing a pain of also being bullied, misunderstood, and unheard.[10]

2016-2017: Angel, Kickstarter, and In2 Minds[edit]

On March 18, 2016, Blue has released her 4th single, "Angel", a love song which had gained positive fanfare.[11]

In late 2016, Blue and her collaborative partner and boyfriend, Damien Dawn have released a promotional video for their Kickstarter, which called on fans who enjoyed both of their previous work to support their album to see it come to fruition.[12]

They later on January 4, 2017 released her song, "Where Do I Go?".[13] The style of these songs varied between pop-rock, emo-pop, and emo-rock.

Their Kickstarter ended up meeting its goal and Blue & Dawn's debut album, In2 Minds released on April 5, 2017,[14] and then later a deluxe version of the album with 27 bonus tracks released.[15]

2018: Blind Eyed and Mine for a Moment[edit]

Blind Eyed has been announced in mid 2018 with a Kickstarter for a comic and a CD.[16] A teaser video featuring all of the EP's songs and a release date had been later uploaded to YouTube[17], with the acoustic version of "Selfish" off the album releasing first.[18] Later on the EP released on December 20, 2018.[19][20]

In November 2018, Anna Blue and Damien Dawn have released "Mine for a Moment", A Halloween-themed short story and comic featuring a teenage romance between Blue and Dawn,[21] in early 2019, an audio-book of "Mine for a Moment" narrated by Joshua Pearson has been released.[22][23]

2019-present: Happy Valentines Meh, Nine to Nine, and Upcoming Album[edit]

On January 15th, 2019, Blue has published an announcement of the second original comic titled, "Happy Valentines Meh", a comic about the romantic adventures of Dawn and Adrian[24] which released on February 4th,[25] and then later on August 9th, the audio book released.[26]

From August to October, Blue and Dawn teased, and then released their respective singles "Keep It Under"[27][28] and "Unbroken"[29][30] before setting the release date for December 20th, and then later, this has ended up releasing on the 20th of December.

On August 12th, 2020, Dawn tweeted that he was writing new music.[31] And on October 20th 2020, Blue tweeted that an upcoming album has been titled with only one more song needing to be recorded, no release date has been revealed.[32]
