Viviana Casanova is a Chilean electronic music DJ, record producer, and owner of Vassnova record label. Halfway between her native Chile and her current residence in Spain, she has grown up surrounded by musical influences between her local environment and her mother's love for Blues, Jazz and Bossanova. To later investigate in much more electronic sounds. In 2019 Viviana joined the “elrow” family, as a new resident of elrow parties worldwide. In 2020 Viviana launched her own label "Vassnova" and the release “Long Road” marks its debut as a producer.
Early life[edit]
Viviana had an interest in music from a very young age. Her hobbies from the age of 8 were recording cassettes with radio music, recording VHS tapes with video clips and later recording CDs creating her own playlist. She moved to Spain when she was little and a few years later, combining her studies at the university, she started as a Dj.
Career[edit]
Casanova started in 2010/2011 as a resident of a small club near Girona (Spain) while combining his studies in Accounting and Finance at the University of Girona. There he was for 3 years in a row. The turning point was in 2016 when her quality behind the decks didn’t go unnoticed, earning an important monthly residency in Pacha Barcelona and then a few years later to be part of the B Club parties, as a residence in the CITY HALL of Barcelona. In 2019 Viviana joined the “elrow” family, as a new resident of elrow parties worldwide.
She has performed at several emblematic clubs and festivals such as “elrow” Barcelona, Brunch in the Park (BCN), Fabrik (Spain), Labyrinth Club (BE), Straf Werk (NL), WHP (Manchester, UK), Origen Fest (Mallorca), Industrial Copera (Spain), Wake Up Sala Pelícano (Galicia), Blue Marlin Ibiza (Ibiza), and many more.
2020 has been a year of evolution for Viviana creating "Vassnova", a side project for sessions of Breaks, Electronic and House that has mutated into a label to self-edit her music. The release of “Long Road” marks its debut as a producer and leads the way to what will be the next references of the label.
