Ant Payne
Ant Payne is a British radio personality. He is the host of the weekday mid-morning show on Capital.[1]
Career[edit]
After working for Bournemouth radio station Fire 107.6 hosting shows all across the schedule, Payne made the move to Galaxy 102 in Manchester to host mid mornings in 2005. After 3 years, new owners Global radio networked some programmes and Payne was moved to host weekend afternoons on the Galaxy network.
In 2012, after being trialled in various cover shows[2], Payne moved to London to host the early breakfast programme on the Capital network. The show ran between 4am and 6am each weekday morning. He also hosted weekend afternoons. After being replaced in 2014, Payne covered various shows across the schedule before being offered the networked mid morning show in February 2016.[1]
The show airs on all 12 Capital stations between 10am and 1pm each weekday.
Payne is also a regular on air host of Capital's Summertime Ball and Jingle Bell Ball held at Wembley Stadium and The O2 respectively.
In July 2017, Payne hosted all 3 days of the Clothes Show Live[3] alongside Mollie King and Kimberley Walsh.
Personal life[edit]
Payne was born Solihull. He now resides in Pimlico, London.
In 2013 he took part in the London Marathon to raise money for the charity, Help A Capital Child.[4]
