Early life and education

Journalism
In 2015, Kokoi began his sports news reportage from the Liberia Football Association Sub-Committee league in the Paynesville community and later began to report on the Liberia Football Association First Division League during the 2016/2017 league season.[3] He replaced Leroy Sonpon III as the Observer’s sports reporter.
During his debut coverage of the top flight league, Kokoi gained admiration from readers both in and out of Liberia for his regular and extensive coverage of the league. He is passionately engaged in reporting about grassroots football developments and a promoter of youthful talents.[4] At Ducor Sports, Kokoi writes articles about Africa’s favorite sports teams and athletes across the world that are aimed at helping Africa’s developing sports industry get the attention it deserves.[5][6]
Pursuit for Positive Action Youth Organization Outside of sports journalism, Kokoi is a youth volunteer and advocate. He currently serves as General Secretary of one of Liberia’s legalized youth organizations, Pursuit for Positive Action youth organization. He has over the years used his journalism profession by highlighting some developmental concerns in the print and electronic media.
