Anushriya Gulati

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Anushriya Gulati is the first and only female Harley-Davidson rider in India to have completed 100,000 kilometers on her Harley Davidson Bike. She is the youngest female biker from India to have taken her bike to Khardung La, Ladakh and has various other biking accomplishments under her name.[1][2][3][4]

Background

Anushriya Gulati got her first Harley Davidson at the age of 19, a Street 750, though she started riding well before that and at a young age as a pillion rider with her family. In September 2014 she was part of a five-member team that rode from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to create awareness about saving girl children in India, a distance of over 3000 kilometers.[5][6] Recently, from 8 April to 21 April 2018, she was part of a seven-member all-women's team that covered the Golden Quadrilateral, that is a journey of 6000 kilometres over 14 days connecting the cities of Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai, in an effort to show that biking is safe for women in India.[4][7]

She is also the youngest female in India to have achieved Harley Davidson's Triple 5 and 21/365 medals.[3] The 'Triple 5' is a medal given by Harley Davidson Motor Company to Harley Davidson riders who have completed three back-to-back 'Big 5s'. These are the five rallies held annually by the Harley-Davidson motor company. The 21/365 medals are awarded to bikers who have biked across 21 states in India within a year.[8][9] She is also a regular participant at India Bike Week, and bikes to the event Goa, a distance of over 5000 kilometers in two weeks.[10]
