The fest is being organized by NJACK[1][2][3] - Not Just Another Coding (K)Club, the official computer science club[4] of IIT Patna with the help of some other members appointed especially for this purpose.
The fest would be hosting a ton of events in it's aim.
Introduction[edit]
Apeireon name is created from the Greek word Apeiron meaning "(that which is) unlimited," "boundless", "infinite", or "indefinite"[5] from ἀ- a-, "without" and πεῖραρ peirar, "end, limit", "boundary",[6] the Ionic Greek form of πέρας peras, "end, limit, boundary".[7]
Thus the aim and the vision of the fest is to create such an oppotunity which aligns with it's name in the Computer Science domain.
Key Events 2020[edit]
Flagship CP Contest[edit]
This is a coding contest based on algorithms and data structures, and aims to encourage participants to apply their knowledge towards problem solving. It consist of regular 5-6 CP problems with varying levels of difficulty that are to be solved in limited time frame.
Shortest Code[edit]
In this event, the contestants shall be required to solve each challenge but their score would depend on the number of characters in their code. The shorter the code, higher their score.
Mystery Language[edit]
This event would be quite similar to a regular competitive contest but with a twist, the participants shall be required to code in a surprise language that would be revealed only moments before the contest begins. This way they have to learn entire language giving the contest.
Hacking Challenge[edit]
In this Event the participants shall be provided with a problem statement as well as a partially correct algorithm. They would be required to find any possible input for which the algorithm provided to them fails.
Guess The Problem[edit]
This event executes in reverse order as compared to normal CP contests. Here, the contestant shall be provided with the input format for the problem along with a executable file that gives an output for a valid input. The contestant is expected to reverse engineer his way through the inputs and files and find out the initial problem statement and then solve it.
