Apollo Mapping

Apollo Mapping is a satellite imagery and web mapping company based in Boulder, CO. Founded in August 2011 by Brock McCarty and Katie Nelson, the company provides raw and processed commercial satellite imagery from partners such as DigitalGlobe, Airbus, and [[Planet Labs]. The company's satellite imagery archive search engine, ImageHunter, contains data from dozens of satellites including WorldView-2, WorldView-3, WorldView-4 (DigitalGlobe), Pleiades 1 (Airbus), SPOT 6/7 (Airbus) and others. McCarty, Nelson, and several other early employees came to the organization from the geography and computer science departments of the University of Colorado, Boulder.

In 2017 Apollo Mapping began work on a web-based GIS Service, Map Mavin, intended to be an online mapping platform focused on ease-of-use and sharing files for non-technical users.
