April Francis Sley is an American entrepreneur, stylist and business consultant based in Austin Texas.[1] She is the founder of Dose Market – a curated marketplace showcasing independent designers artisans and food purveyors.[2][3]
Early life and career
Sley began her career as a stylist before transitioning into business consulting.[4] In 2011, she founded Dose Market as a solution to highlight small businesses and emerging brands.[5][6]
In addition to Dose Market, Sley founded The Haute Closet, a wardrobe consulting service based in Chicago, in 2008.[7] Sley also participated in the CBS reality dating show "3" in 2012. She has been featured in publications such as Vogue, The New York Times, and Refinery 29 for her contributions to Chicago's entrepreneurial landscape.[8] Additionally, she has taught styling courses at Columbia College Chicago.[9][10]
Personal life
April was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She is married to David Sley, and they currently live in Austin, Texas with their children.[11][12]
