Aquarobotman UUV

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Aquarobotman unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV)s are uncrewed vehicles developed in the People's Republic of China (PRC) by Shenzhen Aquarobotman Science & Technology Co. Ltd (深圳潜水侠创新动力科技有限公司).

Nemo[edit]

Nemo ROUV is a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROUV)primarily designed for underwater photography and filming. Originally mainly designed for the consumer market, it has found industrial and scientific research applications in underwater observation and inspection, because it is capable of hovering on the same spot underwater, thus producing better images.[1]Development of Nemo has relied heavily on digital simulation, which was completed first before the prototype being built, and this approach has reduced the development cost and development cycle by forty percent.[1]Specification:[2]

  • Length: 0.404 meter
  • Width: 0.114 meter
  • Height: 0.29 meter
  • Weight: 3.6 kg
  • Operating temperature range: -2 to 60°C
  • Maximum speed: 2 meter/second
  • Maximum range: 0.1 km
  • Maximum undurance: 1.5 hours

SMART-P1[edit]

SMART-P1 ROUV is a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) specifically designed to clean the inside of drainage pipes, and it is jointly developed Aquadrobotman and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST).[3][4]SMART-P1 is a tracked unmanned vehicle, with five wheels on each side.[4]

When the drainage pipe is too small for workers to enter, traditional cleaning methods are very inefficient, because they require the section of drainage pipes to be cleaned must be sealed and drained before any cleaning can begin.[4]Using ROUV not only enable cleaning reaching places humans cannot reach, but more importantly, pipes can be cleaned without sealing off the section to be sealed off.[4]This is important because cities first adopted ROV for drainage cleaning such as Wuhan, are prone to flooding in raining seasons, and thus cannot afford to have drainage pipe sealed off when they are most needed. ROV can clean the drainage pipe while the pipe is fully flooded, and thus is better.[3][4]

SMART-P2[edit]

Like its larger cousin SMART-P1, the smaller SMART-P2 ROUV is also a ROV jointly developed by Aquarobotman and HUST for cleaning inside of drainage pipes.[3][4]The smaller SMART-P2 ROUV is for cleaning pipes with smaller diameter where the larger SMART-P1 cannot enter.[3][4]SMART-P1 and SMART-P2 are first revealed to the public in 2021,[3][4]and their first customer is Wuhan Water Group (武汉市水务集团), the company in charge of providing water and sewage treatment for Wuhan.[3][4]
