Aqib Shaffi B Afzaal (born 2 February 1985) is a Pakistani British first-class cricketer. Afzaal is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He was born in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire.

Afzaal represented the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board in a single List A match against Oxfordshire in the 2002 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy which was played in 2002.[1] In his only List A match, he wasn't required to bat or bowl.

Afzaal currently plays club cricket for Ambergate Cricket Club in the Derbyshire County Cricket League Division 2 with his brother Kamran.

Aqib now runs a cricket academy, based in Nottingham, with his brother Usman.

Family[edit]

His brother Usman has played Test cricket for England, as well as first-class cricket for Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Surrey and the Marylebone Cricket Club. His other brother Kamran played a single List A match for the Derbyshire Cricket Board in 1999.
