Aquiris Game Studio is a video game developer based in Porto Alegre, Brazil.[1] It has been in operation since 2007.[2] As of 2015, it has around 45 employees.[citation needed] The company started doing simulation and advergaming projects for brands such as Colgate, Axe, and Olimpykus. Aquiris was the first Brazilian and one of the first Latin American developers in working with Unity engine. This took the studio to develop the Unity 3.0 "Bootcamp" demo,[3] thanks to that work and the previous ones, Aquiris gained more visibility and started working with international publishers as DreamWorks, Rumble Entertainment, and Cartoon Network. In 2015 the studio took a step further and started publishing its own projects, the first two being Ballistic Overkill (first person shooter)[4] and Horizon Chase (racing game).[5]
