Arash Moayerian
Arash Moayerian (Arash Moayerian, Persian: آرش معیریان; born 16 November 1971, Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian film director, editor, and writer, recognized for his significant contributions to Iranian cinema. He has worked in various aspects of filmmaking, including directing, editing, writing, and designing cinematic scenes.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Moayerian began his academic journey with a diploma in computer science before pursuing a bachelor's degree in film directing from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master's in Theater Arts.[8]
Career
Moayerian's professional career spans multiple roles in the Iranian film industry. He has held several creative and scientific positions, including being a member of the Editing Center at the Iranian House of Cinema and a member of the Iranian Directors Association. He also served as the head of the Cinema Department at the University of Art and has taught film directing and editing at the College of Fine Arts.[9]

- Winner of best director for TV movie "Mah az rooye Sakoo" from Kish Film Festival in 2011[12]
Notable Works
Moayerian's directorial works include Coma (2004), The Charlatan (2005), Chap Dast (2006), and Bamboolak (2024). In addition to his directorial efforts, he has contributed as an editor to films such as The Charlatan (2005) and Friday's Soldiers (2004).[4]
The film Coma, the first feature directed by Arash Moayerian, is recognized as the highest-grossing film of 2004 in Iranian Cinema.[13][14][15]
