Araus was founded in the town of Noetinger[1], Córdoba, Mr. Araus Hnos. Is installed with a workshop to manufacture corn harvesting machines and corn maize seals. His beginnings in agricultural mechanization began in Armstrong, Santa Fe, when the brothers Julian, Romualdo and Tomas Araus, in his farm, were engaged in machine repairs, being in 1942 that build an automotive harvester with satisfactory results. One of the firsts archievements of the firm, are to be the first factory that built an axial harvester designed, designed and manufactured throughout Latin America by a Latin American company, with the Araus 8100[2] model.

Years later (in 1948), already installed in Noetinger, they started manufacturing in series and years later became one of the most important factories in the country. During the decade of the 70 'and principles of the 80's, it came to export harvesters (as you can see in the image on the right).[3] The successor of the Araus brothers in the company business, was Alicia Araus[4]. She died in 2015 and one street of Noetinger have your name since the same year of defunct.[5]. Araus also made self-propelled sprayed, being so the firsts made in Argentina.

Deutz times[edit]

Using Deutz engines for some time, his name changed to Araus-Deutz, using the classic green color (instead the typicall yellow or red) of the latter since it had been bought by the local subsidiary of Deutz in Argentina and later closed by it in 1999.[6]

Metalfor stage[edit]

After the disappearance of Araus, in 2003 METALFOR acquired the industrial plant belonging to the firm Agco Argentina S.A. (Ex Araus), it has a total area of ​​60,000 m2 and 15,000 m2 covered. He moved all the production of drag equipment, fruit trees, agro parts and also creates his first Metalfor combine model "Araus 1360"[7][8], thus leaving the name "Araus" only as a model of Metalfor, but also used as a sub-brand, thus calling itself Metalfor-Araus for products manufactured at the Noetinger plant.[9][10]

In 2006 was launched in the Rural of Palermo of the prototype of tractor Metalfor-Araus Model 1450 DT[11] and the 2007 Expoagro, the Axial 1510 Mix [12].

For the Expoagro 2015 edition, Metalfor-Araus Presented for this case, the model 1360 Metalfor Araus conventional with rotor accelerator. Without the load, the machine weighs 10 tons, less than the 18 tons without the load of the axial 1475.[13] On the other hand, in the sample the firm presented the axial 1775, of 35 feet and 410 HP engine.
