Highway 87, leading from Lower Galilee to Ramot, crosses the Jordan river on the Arik bridge.
The current bridge is a concrete bridge, built in 1998.
The original metal bridge was built in 1972. It is still intact about 30 meters north of the current bridge, but has been closed off.[1]
