Seven years later she then married Kerry A Barshinger, to West Point graduate and USAF Lt. Colonel and went on to have two additional children with him, a son and a daughter. They divorced in January of 2019.

Acting Career[edit]

Barshinger had no interest in acting. However, it was her son who did. She went into The Brock Agency and spoke with Beverly Brock about representation for her son, when Brock then suggested that Barshinger also take up acting and modeling..[1] It was not until she moved to California in 2010 with her husband (at the time), and went on her first movie set Predatory Lender as featured background. She not only was an actress but quickly became an Executive Producer, having utilized her skills from previous professions to help her to learn quickly.

Barshinger’s second gig was on the award winning film Fruitvale Station starring Michael B. Jordan which took home both Juror and Audience Award at Sundance Film Festival, among many other awards. Barshinger played the role of one of the BART witnesses during the shooting death of Oscar Grant in Oakland, California.[2] After that, Barshinger took on various rolls such as Cupcake in the feature Bullets, Blades and Blood, Mary Jo in Discovery Channel’s I Almost Got Away with It, Julia Augusta in Prophecy of Eve, Gillian in Heaven or Hell and many more. Her acting inspired her and gave her hope which is what she wanted to do with her show, to give others hope and to follow their dreams despite their circumstances. N the Queue, with co-host Mark Johnston grew in popularity quickly and made top 300 in less than 8 months with 15,000 shows on the air for Blog Talk Radio.[4] The show was featured regularly on Blog Talk’s front page. Barshinger started producing and line producing on films such as Heaven or Hell, Angel’s VS Werewolves, Angelics, Dateless[5], and many other productions. It became too much for Barshinger to produce both the talk show and film so she stepped aside from the talk show and continued to pursue acting, modeling and producing[6]

Barshinger also worked as set photographer on different projects such as Bullets, Blades and Blood, Apocrypha, The Sparrows and others. However, due to a car accident in 2015, Barshinger has hung up her camera. She has not been able to shoot since due to the injury.

Barshinger was also a television host for shows such as Arts in Action which was aired on a local station. The show featured local artists. She served as the host of two other local shows SacFaddy and Let’s Talk, both covering various topics.
