Arnav Srivastav (born on April 16, 1988) is an entrepreneur and Internet marketer. He is the Founder & owner of Syncom Media, an Internet Marketing Agency that helps service providers and client businesses get more customers. He is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Arnav is also the Founder & CEO of now defunct Royalty-Free Music Library, 909 Music,[1] that reached over 10,000 customers and 1,000 music composers with over 50,000 tracks in the library at its peak.
Early life
Arnav was born in Mumbai, India, in 1988. Shortly after his birth, his parents decided to move to Muscat, Oman, with Arnav and his brother, Arhaan.
His parents started a dotcom business in 1996, when the internet had just surfaced on the scene as a brand new industry. Prior to that his father worked for Hewlett-Packard as a sales leader in Muscat, Oman.
As a natural result of his parents' internet business, from an early age of 10, Arnav found himself on the internet building webpages and setting up email accounts for clients.
Arnav has a wife and they live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Career
909 Music (2012 - 2016)
At the age of 23, Arnav created 909 Music. 909 Music was a stock music marketplace that helped video creators find affordable background music. The Royalty-Free Music Library, 909 Music,[1] reached over 10,000 customers and 1,000 music composers with over 50,000 tracks in the library at its peak.
909 Music was ranked #21 in 'UAE Startups To Watch' list on Forbes Middle East, and listed #2 in the Top MENA Startups by STEP Conference, the largest tech festival in Dubai, and the leading technology festival for emerging markets in the Middle East.
Syncom Media (2018-present)
In 2018, Arnav founded Syncom Media, which started off as an online marketing agency, and further evolved into an internet marketing consulting company. Syncom Media's services entail performance marketing, direct response copywriting, online advertising and web development.
Music career
Arnav had a short career in music performance, production and music marketing, which eventually led him to found his online music production startup called 909 Music, a royalty free music library. At its peak 909 Music had 10,000 customers and 1,0000 registered composers selling over 50,000+ production music tracks to media producers worldwide.
Arnav began learning Indian classical music since the age of 3 and remained interested in music since. He took up DJing at the age of 16 and was exposed to underground dance music during that period. He then instantly took up Music Production and has been writing electronic music ever since.
In 2007, Arnav collaborated with acclaimed Tibetan opera Singer Namgyal Lhamo, on the electronic lounge album, The Enchanted Land. It was released worldwide in August 2007 and received positive reviews from music magazines worldwide.[2] Namgyal Lhamo won the "Best Female vocalist award" for the song "Changkha", at the International Music Awards 2007 held by Musicaid in the U.K.[3][4]
In 2008, he scored the documentary film "Yeti" by filmmaker Akhil Bali (www.digitaltotal.org), which was released online during the Beijing Olympics on 8 August 2008.[5]
Arnav Srivastav made his debut in cinema as a music composer in Independent filmmaker Arvind Iyer's Tibetan thriller "Drapchi" which stars Namgyal Lhamo in the lead.[6] The film, has been produced by Iceberg Nine Films, written by Pooja Ladha Surti and is scheduled for a late 2012 release.[7]
