Arseniy Yurievich Borodin (Russian: Арсений Юрьевич Бородин, born December 13, 1988, Barnaul, RSFSR, USSR) is a Russian singer, record producer, actor, musician, songwriter, graduate of the Fabrika Zvyozd project, member of the Chelsea group. Early years[edit]

Arseniy was born on December 13, 1988, in Barnaul,[4][5] in the family of Yuri Gennadievich, a well-known musician in Barnaul.[6][7] At the age of six, his father brought Arseny to the Accent Song Theater, where he studied for 11 years. In addition to vocals, Arseniy attended choreography and theater classes. In his hometown, Arseny performed in nightclubs, at various holidays and events. He also participated in local vocal competitions, including the winner of the title "Mr. Hit – 2005".[8][9]

He moved to Finland where he met producers Toni Kimpimaki, Milos Rosas. As a result of the joint work, the first single "Deadman's Kiss" appeared,[10][11][12] the video for which collected more than 750 thousand views on YouTube.[13] Then a video was released for the song "If I am", which received the audience award at the "New Wave" contest in Jurmala.[14][15][16]

Arseniy founded a musical group, where he and other musicians began work on their debut album.[17][18] In January 2012, Arseniy graduated from the Moscow Academy of Entrepreneurship under the Government of Moscow with a degree in Organization Management. Currently, he is the art director of the Nevsky Melodies karaoke bar.[19][20]

Personal life[edit]

He was in a relationship with the contestant Yulia Lysenko, the project "Fabrika Zvyozd". The couple broke up after three years.[21][22] The second relationship was with TV presenter Maria Anokhina, but the couple also broke up after a year of relationship. The novel with the performer did not last long and ended without conflicts and quarrels.[23][24][25]

In 2015 he started a relationship with blogger and TV presenter Nastya Ivleeva, relationship ended in 2017.[26][27][28][29]

Creation[edit]

Musical career[edit]

In the fall of 2015 the second season of the Main Stage vocal competition started on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, in which Arseniy Borodina took part. Arseniy was initially perceived ambiguously by both the audience and the jury of the project. All participants who reached the final of the show "Main Stage" had to perform duets with stars of the first magnitude on the stage of the Kremlin Palace.[30][31][32]

Arseny Borodin had the honor to perform in a duet with Nyusha and perform her single "Choose a Miracle" with her.[33] After long negotiations, the jury came to a consensus, and from the stage of the State Kremlin Palace, Valery Leontiev announced the winner of Arseny Borodin.[34][35]

"The Voice"[edit]

On September 22 Arseniy Borodin performed at the blind auditions of the Voice show, season 6, on Channel One. Arseniy performed the song Stop! by Joe Bonamassa.[36] The song was released on Sam Brown's 1988 self-titled debut album. Included in the soundtrack to the film of the cult director Roman Polanski "Bitter Moon". Borodin deployed almost all the mentors to him: only Alexander Gradsky did not press the button. Arseniy chose Dima Bilan as his mentor.[37][38][39]

"Fabrika Zvyozd"[edit]

In 2006 Arseniy took part in the television project "Fabrika Zvyozd", headed by producer Viktor Drobysh, in which Arseny became one of the 17 participants who passed the qualifying round.[40][41] Arseniy passed all the tests and reached the finals of the Star Factory – 6. According to the results of SMS voting, the young musician took second place.[42][43]
