Syed Ali Irfan Naqvi also known as Arshi Naqvi, is a professor in the Department of Urdu at Kidderpore College, Kolkata and head of the department.[1] Naqvi has been an honourable member of the West Bengal School Service Commission (S.R.) since 2012.[2][not in citation given]
Early life and education
Naqvi chose Urdu as his subject and completed his graduation (B.A.) at Maulana Azad College [3][not in citation given] in 1985. He then obtained his MA and PhD from the University of Calcutta[4][not in citation given] in 1985 and 1988, respectively.
He was awarded the "Maulvi Abdul Haq Award of 2017" in 2019 from The West Bengal Urdu Academy.[5][not in citation given]
