Art Beatz is a Massachusetts based DJ, remix artist, and producer. His most notable collaborations include co-producing the hit song "Goodbye" by Jason Derulo & David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj and Willy William, "Cobra Dance" ft. Fatman Scoop and Camel Shake which is a top 100 track on Beatport.com under Showtek's label Skink Records.[1]

Biography

Art Beatz grew up in Baghdad, Iraq for most of his life until the age of 13 when he moved to the United States. He describes in several interviews how his passion for art and music is what drove him to pursue a career in entertainment.[2] Art Beatz made his debut album titled #PLUR which he produced with his Korg keyboard at home.[3] He said that the title for the album was derived from a need to connect with his fans on a level they could understand.[4]

In popular culture

The 2014 movie The Purge 2: Anarchy also featured a character that used makeup reminiscent of Art Beatz’s stage outfit. Art Beatz has also told stories about how fans often come up to him asking whether or not his outfit is a tattoo or face paint.[5]
