Arthur Adams (November 22, 1915 – May 3, 1992) was an African-American character actor who appeared in guest spots on numerous TV shows, such as Julia, I Dream of Jeannie, Sanford and Son where he appeared in two episodes as Judge Mel Daniels, a boyfriend/date of Donna Harris, Fred Sanford's fiance, who proposed marriage to her in vying with Fred for her, The Bill Cosby Show, Cannon, Room 222, The White Shadow, Hart to Hart, CHiPs, T.J. Hooker, Amen and Dynasty. Among his numerous film appearances include roles in Meteor (1979), Strangers Kiss (1983), Coming to America (1988), and The Jigsaw Murders (1989). He also appeared in several episodes of "Bewitched."
Adams died at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1992.
