Arthur Eze
Arthur Eze is a Nigerian businessman and philanthropist who founded an international energy company.
Eze is reportedly one of the wealthiest men in Africa.[1] As a descendant of tribal royalty, Eze is usually referred to as Prince Arthur Eze.[2]
In 1970, Eze attended secondary school in Nkwerre, Nigeria. He studied chemical and mechanical engineering at California State University, Long Beach from 1974 to 1978.[1]
In 1999, Eze founded Atlas Oranto Petroleum. The company owns assets in Nigeria, Liberia, Guinea,Gambia and the UK.[2] In 2010 Eze made $200M selling oil blocks in Liberia.[2][1]
In 2017, Oranto Petroleum announced that it was on the brink of signing a petroleum exploration licence and oil production sharing agreements with the Government of Uganda. The agreement will cover the Ngassa area of Uganda which accounts for 410 square kilometres near Lake Albert. Eze been a smart business mogul, he made sure that Oranto was in the list of first companies to bid in Uganda's first competitive oil exploration licenses.
