Arthur Rovine

Arthur W. Rovine is an American arbitrator, litigator and author. He is currently an Adjunct Professor and teaches international arbitration at Fordham Law School.[1] Rovine has also served under NAFTA, ICDR, PCA and ICSID since 2005.[2]

Education[edit]

Arthur Rovine received his Bachelors’ from the University of Pennsylvania and did his LLB from Harvard Law School. He also has a PhD from Columbia University.[3]

Career[edit]

In 1983, Rovine joined Baker & McKenzie, where he represented clients in international arbitration. He retired from the firm in 2005 and has since been serving under ICDR, NAFTA, ICCA[4], PCA, and ICSID[5].

Arthur Rovine also remained President of the American Society of International Law[6] from 2000-2002 and the Chairman of International law section of the American Bar Association for a year, from 1985-1986.[7]

He has been a member of the Board of Editors of the American Journal of International Law, Chairman of the International Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York (ABCNY) and is currently a member of the ABCNY International Commercial Disputes Committee, the Arbitration Committee of the Center for Public Resources, the Council on Foreign Relations and a fellow of the American Bar Foundation.[8]
