Art Rease
Arthur Jerry San Juan (January 18, 1918 – September 3, 1960) was an American actor, stuntman, screenwriter, and producer. He performed under the name Art Rease.
Life and career[edit]
San Juan was born in Los Angeles. His father, Modesto Antonio San Juan, was from Granada, Spain; his mother Helen was from Kansas, with Irish ancestry. He was a long-time resident of Culver City.
He participated in approximately 36 movies and TV shows, including High Noon (1952) and the series You Are There, where he played David Herold.[1] He usually played cowboys.
In 1957, in an interview with a Spanish magazine, he said that he had thought about hiring Gloria Graham for the movie "A Pirate's Life" (La vida del pirata), that was to have been filmed in Jamaica.
San Juan was married with three children. He died in a car crash in Madrid and is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
