He is known for starring as the lead character Alan in the Disney XD show Mighty Med,[1] and he has appeared in a variety of television shows and films, including "The Pretty One," "Austin and Ally." and as Howie Needleman in Madea's Witness Protection.[2][3][4][5]

He's also known for co-founding and developing an AI company.[6][7]

Career

Leos is the co-founder of an artificial intelligence company called Undetectable AI, where he oversees the company's communications. He's contributed to discussions about AI ethics.[8][9][10] In 2024, Newsweek reported that Elon Musk praised Leos and his company Undetectable.ai.[11]

Previously Leos founded and operated DDigital, a corporate communications firm. Devan has represented various high profile individuals such as billionaire Jay Bloom, Samantha Jay and Stephen Rezza.[12] Beyond his career in media communications and entertainment, Leos was also a contributing author to Entrepreneur (magazine) and LA Weekly.[13][14][15]

During his childhood Leos starred numerous Disney shows, like Mighty Med. In 2023, FilmDaily listed Leos as one of the most iconic Disney actors of all time.[16]

Charitable work

In 2021, Leos founded CMNT Inc, an anti-crime non profit organization that helps local communities by using open-source intelligence.[17] In March 2022, Devan Leos received the "Man of The Year," (2022 award) by US Features Magazine, for his charitable efforts through an anti-crime foundation he started in 2021.[18]

Personal life

In 2023, in an interview with OK! Magazine, Leos stated that he struggled during his adolescent years, and revealed that he had been exploited by a now-convicted child predator named Acton Bowen. Leos admitted that he made mistakes when initially dealing with his trauma which caused him to spiral out of control. According to the same OK! Magazine article, Leos has a son.[17]

Controversies

In 2016, Devan Leos was attacked by an individual allegedly wielding a knife, and he attempted to defend himself by using his vehicle. Leos was then charged with attempted murder, however given the facts of the case, he was only sentenced to community service.[19][20] Out of all the former Disney stars who have been arrested, Leos is the only one to have been charged with attempted murder. [21]

In September of 2023, Leos tried to shut down conspiracy theories saying Tupac Shakur was still alive, by offering $150k to anyone who could offer proof.[22]

On November 10th 2023, Devan Leos was accused by Radar Online of enabling students to cheat on their assignments, by helping operate the online platform Undetectable.ai, however in the article, Leos clarified that Undetectable.ai strictly prohibited such conduct.[4]
