Artist Gill (born 24 June 1991) is an Indian tattoo artist[1], fine artist and social media celebrity. He has made a number of sculptures and also designed a number of paintings. He is recognised as one of the leading portrait artists in the Punjab. He has also done various tattoos in a number of categories, including Lion, 3d, Portrait, Name, Wolf, Eagle and Color Portrait tattoos – which are among the list of the most expensive tattoos in India in Portrait 3d Tattoo history. His first portrait was a wife’s portrait tattoo on his husband's left arm as a memory in 2014 and recently he did Karan Aujla’s full sleeve tattoo with Father and Mother portraits.
Early life
Artist Gill was born on 24 June 1991 to a Sikh family in the village of Sudhar in Jalandhar tehsil, Jalandhar district, Punjab, India. His father, Surinder Singh, is a former employee of Punjab Roadways, and his mother, Harpreet Kaur, is a homemaker. He has one younger brother. He spent his early childhood in Sudhar and then moved to Ludhiana, Punjab, from where he completed his formal education, including a Matric from Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School. While still in school, he began his art career by making portrait paintings and after that started making small tattoos and became famous as a Portrait Artist in India.
Life and career
At the age of 15 he made his first sculpture of Sobha Singh (painter). The reason for creating this sculpture is because he was inspired by the life of Sobha Singh. At the age of 18 he designed a lot of paintings like Guru Hargobind, Sobha Singh (painter) and many more. After this he decided to go into this profession as a Tattoo artist, but in this field it is not easy to make a name and fame because in India there are many other famous tattoo artists. But no one could make a portrait tattoo, and his interest in making portraits led him to decide to make his passion into a profession. He was the first Indian tattoo artist who started making Portrait Tattoos in India.
