Gerardo Arturo Sanchez-Azofeifa is a Costa Rican-Canadian scientist and a global authority on **Tropical Dry Forests**. He currently serves as a Professor of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Alberta in Canada, where he directs the **Center for Earth Observation Sciences** (CEOS).
Research
Sanchez-Azofeifa is the founder of **Tropi-Dry**, a research network dedicated to the study of dry forests in the Americas. His work is primarily based in the Santa Rosa National Park in Guanacaste Province.
