Arun Monga, is an Indian Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and was appointed Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.[1] on 28 October ,2018.[2][3] He had school education in Punjab, where his father served as Judicial Officer, who later superannuated from Superior Judicial Services.

Early life and career[edit]

Arun Monga graduated from DAV College, Chandigarh with a first-class B.Sc and was also awarded the College Color. He Graduated in law with first division from Panjab University, Chandigarh. While studying law, he also enjoyed teaching Chemistry in a School at Chandigarh.

He began his legal career at Chandigarh's High Court in 1991 as a first-generation solicitor then he moved to Delhi in the year 1997–1998 and practiced there for 20 years until being sworn in as a judge in October 2018.[4][5]

He essentially had private sector institutional clients, punctuated with individual clientele. He handled litigation as well as advised on corporate transactions/non-litigation. Whether he was defending clients in a boardroom or a courtroom, he equally enjoyed every day of his legal business.
