Arya Permana

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Arya Permana (born 2006) is the former world's heaviest living child, weighing at 192 kilograms (423 lb) as of 2016.[1] He was considered morbidly obese.[2]

Medical concerns[edit]

Permana was born in the village of Cipurwasari, Indonesia at a normal weight; he began rapidly gaining weight in 2014.[1] By early 2016, weight increase and associated medical issues had prevented him from attending school.[3] As a result of medical concerns, Permana was placed on a rapid diet plan in order to lower his weight by mid-2016.[4][5] While this diet reduced his weight and allowed him to return to school,[6] continued hunger and further medical concerns prompted a sleeve gastrectomy surgery by Dr. Handy Wing at Omni Hospital, Alam Sutera, Tangerang.[2] This has successfully reduced his weight by 100 kilograms (220 lb). Now he is a healthy teenager and keep his weight under 100 kg. [7]

Teenage years (2019-)[edit]

In 2019, it's revealed that Arya lost more than 200 pounds.[citation needed]
