Asher Zelig Genuth was an Austro-Hungarian-born Romanian Rabbi. He was the father of the well-known Cleveland-based rabbi David L. Genuth.
Biography
Asher Zelig Genuth was born on April 3, 1882 in Középvisó, Austria-Hungary (today Vișeu de Sus, Romania), the son of David "Aryeh" Leib Genuth and Perel Genuth (née Herstik).[1]
He served as a rabbi for the local Jewish community.
Genuth died on August 30, 1940 at the age of 58 in Vișeu de Sus.[2]
