Ashfaquddin has played much of his career as a forward, but has been deployed in a variety of attacking roles – as an offensive midfielder, second striker and centre forward.

Ashfaquddin played for a youth club Shaheed E Aman Club in Gilgit, Pakistan. In 2014, he left the club.
Senior career[edit]
In 2014, Ashfaquddin signed for Khan Research Laboratories. where he spent almost a year. In 2015, he signed for WAPDA. In 2019, he made his debut for WAPDA in the 2019 PFF National Challenge Cup. He scored two goals against PAF which made WAPDA qualify to the semi-finals of the 2019 PFF National Challenge Cup.[1] He played only six games but scored four goals.[2]
International[edit]
In January 2020, Ashfaquddin was called for an unofficial Pakistan Tour of Malaysia.[3] On 24 January 2020, Ashfaquddin made an unofficial debut for Pakistan against Malaysian club Felda United.[4]
