Muhammad Obaid Khurshid (born 25 November 1994) is a Pakistani footballer who plays as a midfielder for Pakistan Airforce FC in the Pakistan_Premier_League(A-Division).

Previously Playing for Higher_Education_Commission_(Pakistan) FC in the Pakistan_Premier_League(B Division), and has been deployed in a variety of attacking and defensive roles - as a midfielder, winger and left-back. He also holds a degree of bachelors in Mechatronics Engineering from Air_University_(Islamabad).

Early life and career[edit]

Obaid was born in Al_Ain, United_Arab_Emirates to Khurshid Akhtar and Farah Khan. Obaid developed a passion for the sport from an early age, playing all the time with his siblings.

In 2009, Obaid moved to Pakistan in order to complete his education, where he began playing for Huma Football Club, a local club in Islamabad that comes under Islamabad_Football_Association. The later in 2013, He went to Air_University_(Islamabad) where he played for the University Football team and participated in various athletics events where he has won many gold medals. He played for Islamabad_Football_Association in A-League and then was scouted by Higher_Education_Commission_(Pakistan) FC, plays in B Division, and began playing professional football.

Club career[edit]

Huma FC[edit]

Starting his career in the 2009 season. He made his debut for Huma Club in A Division of Islamabad_Football_Association. He played as Midfielder and winger scoring 27 goals over the course of 2 seasons.

Islmabad Football Association(IFA)[edit]

During 2012 season, he signed with Islamabad_Football_Association(an A-League Division) representing them in All Pakistan Tournaments, U-19 and U-21 National Championships with Islamabad_Football_Association Obaid was scouted by Higher_Education_Commission_(Pakistan).

HEC[edit]

In 2015 after his performances with Islamabad_Football_Association, Higher_Education_Commission_(Pakistan) signed him. Where Obaid went on to represent them in 24 matches scoring 13 goals.

Pakistan Air Force FC[edit]

In the 2018 season, Obaid signed for Pakistan_Premier_League side PAF_F.C.. He is currently playing for PAF_F.C. and has scored 2 goals in 11 appearances. PAF_F.C. secured 3rd position in National_Games_of_Pakistan where he played a vital role. Obaid won Pakistan_National_Football_Challenge_Cup with PAF_F.C. in 2018.

National Team[edit]

After his performances in Pakistan_Premier_League with PAF_F.C.. Obaid was called by National Team in 2019. He appeared in one month camp for World Cup Qualifiers. Obaid was shortlisted for 24 men Final Squad to face Cambodia in world cup 2022 Qualifiers. But the team couldn't play due to political reasons and FIFA interventions.
