Ashish Chanchlani (born 8 December 1993)[1] is an Indian comedian and YouTube personality from Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra. He is known for his YouTube channel Ashish Chanchalani vines.[2][3][4][5] In August 2020, Ashish became the third Indian YouTube content creator to cross 20 million subscribers.[6] And Ashish was listed in Forbes India's 30 Under 30 2021 list.[7]
Early life and education
Chanchlani is a Maharashtrian, born on December 8, 1993 in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra to Anil Chanchlani and Deepa Chanchlani. His sister's name is Muskan Chanchlani, who is also a YouTuber.[1] Chanchalani graduated in Civil Engineering from Datta Meghe College of Engineering Navi Mumbai.[8]
Career
Chanchlani started making Vine (Vine, a short comedy video) videos in 2009.[6] He started his YouTube channel as Ashish Chanchlani vines on 6 July 2009[9][10] but uploaded his first YouTube video titled "How to annoy people who say 'Tu Mere Baap Ko Janta Hai'" in 2014, which became quite popular.[4][5]
Works
Ashish has also appeared in the web series Class of 2017 hosted on Alt Balaji[5] and a brief clip of one of his videos was played on a screen in the background of the film Men in Black: International in 2019. He has also directed a short film Aakhri Safar in February 2020 on his YouTube channel.[6]
