Ashish Ramesh Pandey is an Indian photojournalist and media personality. Currently, he is working as a photojournalist for Uttar Pradesh Tourism, a department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. As a photojournalist, he likes to play with light and shadows. He has more than 10 years of experience working as the man behind the lens, capturing different moods, festivals, and elements on the street.
Education and Early Life
He is a post-graduate in mass communication from University of Lucknow. He had the opportunity to work with various esteemed organizations on different projects and stories. His pictures set narratives of their own and are sure to leave you spellbound. A theater artist enthusiast, he has written 8 plays and acted in more than 40 plays.
Career
He started working with leading media houses, Dainik Jagran – I Next and Bharat Samachar as a photojournalist after he finished his formal education. With nearly 10 years of work experience in the media sector, he still holds a reputed position in many photojournalist associations.
Government Assignments
Kumbh – 2019 happened to be his breakthrough assignment with the Department of Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh, where he covered the festival for the Kumbh Mela Police. Rangotsav, Krishnotsav and Dev Deepawali in Varanasi and Chitrakoot, Deepotsav in Ayodhya have been his most applauded assignments for the Department. The stunning pictures that attract you to the festivals on various official social media platforms of the Uttar Pradesh Tourism are mostly captured by him.[2]
Other Assignments
He has worked with various organizations on different issues, Breakthrough Trust being one of them, where he contributed with frames on gender equality and adolescent rights that the organization advocates. He has also been occasionally appointed as a guest lecturer for students of Mass Communication in Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies, Shia College and Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj.[3] [4]
