Ashok "Ashq" (Born 10th January, 1987) is a Hindi poet[1], song writer and a film and television scriptwriter. He is known as a writer of the short films Mukti Abhishap Se (2019)[2], Dark Night (2019) and Nasa The Error (2019). [3][4]
He is the CEO of film productions company Shivaay Productions Pvt. Ltd. He was co - festival director of the film festival - Sincine Film Festival.[5][6]
Early Life and Education[edit]
He was born in a village called Jitwarpur Chauth in Samastipur District, Bihar. He started his formal education at Government School Jitwarpur. He did his high school from Shree Krishna High School, Jitwarpur and Graduation from Samastipur College.
Personal Life[edit]
Ashok Ashq's father's name is Shree Harishchandra Roy and mother's name is Smt. Shyama Devi. His original name (name on government document) is Ashok Kumar. Ashok Ashq is his pen - name.
Carrier[edit]
He has worked on many projects for Shivaay Productions Pvt. Ltd, Anand Films Production House and Dream Walls Productions. Ashok "Ashq" has co-founded the Shivaay Productions in the year 2017. He is co-founder of web series channel - Shivaay. As a CEO of the company Shivaay Productions, he runs web music channel Shivaay Mithibhoj.
He has won many awards for his poetries and short films. As a writer his short film Mukti Abhishap Se has been selected for Indogama Film Festival in 2018.[7]
Ashok "Ashq" was co-festival director of the 1st International Sincine Film Festival.[8] This film festival got around 200 films entries from 22 countries.[9]
He has worked on many projects with film director and producer N. Mandal [10]and co-founded a film festival organising company with him.[11]
He has worked in multiple TV shows as an assistant screenplay writer. He has worked with famous TV show writers like Mayur Puri, Rajesh Chawla, Harsa Jagdish and Shashi Sumeet Mittal. As an assistant screenplay writer he has written Teen Bahuraaniyaan , Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai (associate writer) etc.[12]
