Ashok Kumar Beniwal (also known as Ashok Beniwal) is an Indian film and television actor, acting coach, and voice artist. He began his career in theatre in Jaipur, Rajasthan in 1993, and later moved to Mumbai in 1998 to pursue work in the film and television industry.[1] Beniwal has appeared in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, and English-language productions, often cast in roles such as police officers and authority figures. His film appearances include Dil Hai Tumhara (2002), Apharan (2005), Jail (2009 film), Zila Ghaziabad (2013), Hate Story 2 (2014), Billa II (2012), and Darbar (film) (2020).[2][3]
Early life and career
Beniwal began his acting journey on stage in Jaipur, gradually making his way into television and films after moving to Mumbai in the late 1990s. Over the years, he has worked across various formats—including movies, TV shows, and web series.[4] He played ASP Roshan Sinha in Mirzapur (2018) and Judge Rastogi in Aashram (2020). Alongside acting, he has also been active as a voice trainer and coach, mentoring aspiring performers..[5][6]
Personal life
Beniwal is married and has a daughter named Nandani.[7]
