Ashok Rajan[1][2] is an Indian film cinematographer. Transforming human minds into stories, he is a cinematographer for films that depict scenes on screen in a way that reflects the lives of the people. He has worked as a cinematographer in more than 50 films in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Cinematographer Ashok Rajan [3]was born in Chennai. In 1981, he started his film career as an assistant to Kannan. He has worked as a co-cinematographer in more than 35 films. K. S. Ravikumar has worked with him as a cinematographer in more than 50 films, including one directed by Cheran Pandiyan.
Family background
The late former Chief Minister and Tamil scholar Mr. Karunanidhi, the late actor Chevalier, came from the family of Mr. Krishnan Panchu, the versatile director of the film 'Parasakthi' starring Dr. Shivaji Ganesan. Mr. Krishnan Panchu is the uncle of Ashok Rajan. A. Bhimsingh Ashok Rajan Chidamba is the famous director who directed the movie Pasamalar starring the late actor Chevalier Dr. Shivaji Ganesan. The director of the Gayatri film [4] starring actor Rajinikanth is R. Pattabhiraman, also known as Ashok Rajan’s uncle, and the director Pattu[5].
