Ashwini Chandrashekar
Ashwini Chandrashekar is an Indian actress who has appeared in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films.[1]
Career[edit]
Ashwini began her career in Kannada films, and initially played a supporting role in Endendigu (2015), before portraying a major role in Octopus (2015). In Octopus, she featured alongside actors Kishore and Yagna Shetty, with a critic from Times of India noting "she has a limited role and fits her part". Though the film was planned as a bilingual in Tamil and Kannada, only the Kannada version had a theatrical release.[2][3] She then continued to work in Kannada films, appearing in the lead roles in Prema Pallakki (2015) and Ondu Romantic Crime Kathe (2016), where a critic noted she is "brilliant".[4]
In 2016, she ventured into Telugu cinema, portraying the female lead in Aavu Puli Madhyalo Prabhas Pelli, which garnered negative reviews.[5] Her long-delayed Tamil film, the horror drama Merlin, released in February 2018.[6][7]
