Asian Signature[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] is a bi-annual online literary magazine of poetry and poetics with a yearly printed issue. Its primary commitment is to bring voice of Asian poets, providing a platform for their work to be read in English along with world poets. Asian Signature is the most widely circulated poetry journal. It has readership in various countries. Asian Signature is a non profit open access initiative so nobody associated with this journal gets paid. This is a non-monetary voluntary service for the academic and Creative writing community. Its primary commitment is still to discover new voices.
History[edit]
The magazine was founded by Dhruva Harsh and Surabhi Bhattacharjee. Dhruva has done his D.Phil thesis on "The Mahabharata in the Contemporary Indian English Novel" from Allahabad University. The first issue was published in October 2013. The magazine is run by very passionate individuals who work voluntarily.[8][9][10][11][12][13][citation needed]Asian Signature serves as a much needed poetry forum for poets of different genders, ethnicity and nationalities.

Contributors[edit]
Asian Signature has published poetry, translated works, and interviews[14] with authors such as Nigerian poet, novelist and Man Booker Prize winner writer Ben Okri. Indian novelist, short story writer, poet, and editor of The Caravan magazine Anjum Hasan.[15] Indian film scholar, historian, critic, curator and writer Amrit Gangar. Indian poet and professor of English at the University of Allahabad Smita Agarwal. An Irish pop, folk and celtic music singer, guitarist, songwriter, harpist, poet and artist Mike Absalom. A multilingual Nepali poet, lyricist, playwright, translator, and an artist Suman Pokhrel. A french poet, linguist, literary translator and actor Hélène Cardona.[16][17] Stanley H. Barkan[18] is an American poet, translator, editor, publisher. Howard W. Robertson[19] is an American poet and novelist. Patricia Jabbeh Wesley[20] is an award-winning Liberan African Diaspora poet and writer and Associate Professor of English and Creative Writing at Penn State University. R. Zamora Linmark[21] born in Manila, is a Filipino American poet, novelist, and playwright and many more. Asian Signature is considered as one of the most important poetic voices of Asia.
