Ask Ziggy was speech recognition technology for mobile devices, developed by software company Averotek.[1] Ask Ziggy was a personal virtual assistant application for Windows Phone[2] that made calls, sent tweets, solved math problems and updated a user's status on social networking sites.[3] At the time of its development, it was an effective alternative to Microsoft's own TellMe speech recognition service, though it lagged behind in accuracy compared to well-known applications like Siri and Android.

History[edit]

The software, developed by Shai Leib through his company Averotek,[4] was first made available on the Windows Marketplace in December 2011.[5]

In late 2012, the company raised $5 million in funding.[6]
