The people of Assam have traveled, migrated, and settled in various parts of the globe. These groups of Assamese population across the globe somehow remained intact to their roots. Wherever they are, they formed Assamese Associations.
Within India, one of the prominent and oldest Assamese Associations is the Assam Association Delhi[1] which was formed before the Independence of India. With the increase in the population of Assamese people in Delhi, the association formally got registered. The year-round activities and celebrations of Assamese festivals are mostly organized by Assam Association Delhi. It was in New Delhi that the campaign, Amazing Assam, got launched.
Similarly, other parts of India and places abroad have organizations of the Assamese people who come together not just to celebrate festivals but also to keep the culture alive in their hearts and souls. The latest of them is Assam Association of Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.
