Assignments Committee (Georgia Senate)

The Senate Assignments Committee is a six-member legislative body consisting of two ex officio and four members. The Committee operates under a Senate mandate to perform any and all duties assigned to it by the President of the Senate at his or her discretion.[1]

Scope and jurisdiction[edit]

The scope and jurisdiction of each assignment is prescribed to the Senate Assignments Committee in accordance with each assigned task.[1]

The Senate Assignments Committee is comprised by the following stipulated array

Pursuant to Senate Rule 2-1.1 this Committee shall be composed of the President of the Senate, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, the Majority Leader and two Senators appointed by the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate or his designee shall serve as Chair of the committee.senate.ga.gov
